places like restaurants. And in newspapers sold in convenience stores. There would be maybe a little bit of pixelization for censorship.
Why don't they do this in the west? Because families will sue for emotional distress for publicizing that shit?

They go by something they call Broadcast Standards and Practices. It can be rather complicated. Wikipedia has a page on it.

They go by something they call Broadcast Standards and Practices. It can be rather complicated. Wikipedia has a page on it. When my parents first moved to Canada they watched the Multicultural Channel for Mandarin news and they only had Taiwanese broadcasts instead of Communist Party CCTV from the mainland. I grew up with that gory shit.

They do the same in Mexico. The news media don't hide it. There's a show I used to watch on occasion on Azteca network airing in the U.S. that features news about real ghosts incidents, crime, and accidents. One night I flipped thru the channels and caught a segment of this show (can't remember the name) about cartel members video taping their murder by cutting open the victim's chest and ripping the heart out of his body while he was still alive. No censoring at all. That was beyond brutal to have witnessed it. I wished I had not stopped on that channel.
Edit: The show is called 'Al Extremo'.

People usually let broadcasters know that they disapprove without suing but you’re just doing that dumb “snowflake” bullshit. Is your life improved in any way by seeing bloody murder on TV when eating in restaurants?

Seems for a lot of news stories nowadays, if there is graphic material, the newscaster will say something like:
"We want to warn you - some of the images and descriptions are disturbing."
Gives one time to change the channel, I guess.

I remember my dad telling me that when R Budd Dywer shot himself on live tv, he was watching the news and they showed it in it's entirety.
