Raps beat the Knicks showing more energy. Siakam given the night off should help everyone.
I listened to Bill Simmons talking with Jackie MacMullen & Bob Ryan, discussing how hard this NBA season will be on players. Orlando bubble 2020 even though was a shock to players systems, it still was like summer camp, an adventure, no travel, & returning to play. 2021 is already guys locked away in hotel suites, with travel, with restrictions, with COVID-19 on a tear across the US. Siakam they pointed out, had struggles with trying to train as an NBA'er last year & again this year because his entire regiment with his brothers is upended? Which is why they say it fell off for him as soon as COVID-19 lockdown 2020 struck. Guy's gotta find a new program routine to get into because things aren't changing for months & months to come.

Westbrook's Wiz fall to 0-5. They didn't look bad the 1st game of the season when we beat them
I see Beal didn't talk to the media the other night
Wonder if he's clashing with Westbrook - and if he demands he wants out to at some point

Is there a possibility that his 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons could have been a fluke?
Maybe other players have caught up to this game and he really did benefit from Kawhi?
Does he miss playing with Gasol and Ibaka or did they have nothing left in the tank?
Ben completely shut him down the other night - this wasn't the player I remember seeing

What I saw in Fultzy last night -
4-11 FG, 0-1 3 point attempts, 1-1 free throw, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block
Every single one of his points (except the free throw) came from driving to the hoop
Passed up multiple outside shots that were there for him to take
That is the same player we saw up here for 2 years when he decided to put his Big Boy Pants on and actually play instead of sitting scared on the bench with a phantom injury that he and his agent finally found a doctor to diagnose him with after seeing multiple doctors as well as the team doctors
Same exact player
This is what Orlando is going wild over?
Cute lil town that Orlando where there must not be the highest of expectations.

Our first look at LaMelo Ball tonight Ball put up 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists the other night Looking to go 5-1 Rather odd - we've got the Hornets in an not a 'home & home' but they're playing here 2 out of the next 3 nights - haven't looked that the full slate - maybe the NBA did this because of Covid, travel time, shortened season, etc Hornets at Sixers 7:00pm

Check out the supposed 'Elite' of the East - Bucks 3-3 Celtics 3-3 Nets 3-3 Heat 2-3 Raptors 1-3 Celtics lost a puzzling one to the Pistons last night. They were up 93-88 with 4 minutes left, then proceeded to go 0-11 the rest of the way as the crappy Pistons beat them. 7 of those misses were three pointers. I didn't watch it, but I'm guessing that most of the possessions in the last 4 minutes featured no ball movement at all, but did feature one guy carrying the ball to the three point line, and then jacking up a bad shot. For some reason, late in games when they are losing, the Celtics go into "hero ball" mode, which rarely works.

Last night, it was shared. Tatum, Brown, and Marcus Smart all got very cold at the wrong time. Tatum does have Celtics fans worried though, if he's got the ball late in games, he ain't passing. Sometimes that works, many times it doesn't.

Luka came in looking a bit like the Michelin Tire man. Shooting 5-31 (16.1%) from 3, only 3 steals and 3 offensive boards in 5 games, but not many turnovers. He needs to play himself into shape.

Check out the supposed 'Elite' of the East - Bucks 3-3 Celtics 3-3 Nets 3-3 Heat 2-3 Raptors 1-3 Who's going to be sellers from that list in 5 weeks? Raptors cold as ice again tonight vs. the Pelicans. Right now I'd probably try to trade Lowry for a younger guy, & see if anyone wants Powell &/or Siakam because neither seems fit for one another's minutes.
