YOU seem able to find humor in picturing 159 ACRES of graves set close together side by side all containing people who died of the same disease within a relatively short period of time. I cannot ! Must... not... make... joke... about... obesity... related... deaths... requiring... more... land.. I already have my grave plot reserved and squared away. 6 foot by 10 foot.

I can't really imagine a square mile. In New York City a mile was approx 20 north to south blocks _(East to West blocks were longer) Around here .. the roads are about a mile apart in a grid pattern so a square mile is easy to picture. I grew up in the 'burbs, and the roads where I live in the country were plotted by someone "into his cups" (drunk) so I am glad for the acreage comparison. To me, I can visualize it. Wish I didn't have to. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) Edit: I wonder how many acres are in Trump's favorite golf course? Would the number of deaths sink in then?

1 mile = 5280 feet 1 square mile = 5280 x 5280 square feet 1 square mile = 27,878,400 square feet 6,944,000 square feet is approximately 1/4 of this, so the square area you're looking at would be approximately 1/2 a mile long and 1/2 a mile wide Obviously you should have converted to the much more logical metric system by now, but that's another matter ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
