That's a lot to say. It's also the date when the controversial Patterson film was recorded in 1967.
There he is. Rick Baker in the flesh.

I'm a believer, sort of. Let's just say that I'm open to the possibility that such creatures exist though I've never seen one myself and I'm skeptical about most of the Bigfoot encounters I've heard about. Many people claim the Patterson-Gimlin film is a hoax. A few years back, a guy came forward claiming to have played the part of the Bigfoot in the Patterson film and another guy came forward - a costume shop owner, I think - claiming to have sold the monster suit to Patterson back in the day. Patterson's associate Bob Gimlin, who was there when the alleged creature was filmed, still claims that the film is genuine and that if there was a "hoax" he wasn't in on it and that such a hoax would've been next to impossible to pull off. Hence, there's still a mystery surrounding that film. Speaking of this subject matter, wasn't there once a Paranormal board on this site? ...Whatever happened to it?

The Henderson family adopt a friendly Sasquatch but have a hard time trying to keep the legend of 'Bigfoot' a secret.
Academy Awards Nominees John Lithgow and Melinda Dillon are in this !

When I was around 10-11, a neighbor kid tried to convince me there was a Bigfoot living on their property. He showed me fake footprints and a bedding area that was probably deer. I was really into that stuff back then, Bigfoot, UFOs, Loch Ness, Men in Black (not the movie), and I suppose he thought it would be good for a laugh. I'm surprised there are still people selling the myth, especially now that we know Bigfoot and Nessie were faked.

I remember the Bigfoot craze from the mid-70s very well, and as a little kid back then I was fascinated with it. Anybody see The Mysterious Monsters? It was a theatrical documentary from 1975 narrated by Peter Graves. It covered Bigfoot, the Yeti, and the Loch Ness monster. Took itself quite seriously, too. My dad took me to see it when it was first released and I just loved it. Seen today, of course, it's just laughable.

Just don't mess with Sasquatch and especially don't take his jerky.
