Check out Cronin's full comment and the new image below: (in the link below) "There’s no Ash in this story and there’s no cabin in the woods, and they’re two iconic elements of what Evil Dead is. But the movie does include the book and an extraordinary amount of vicious, malevolent Deadites, so I was always pretty comfortable making that move [to LA]. "It still needed to maintain some of the claustrophobia and that translated really well from the cabin into an urban environment. This is about a family in a rundown building stuck in their apartment, so it follows the same rhythm but puts it in a more contemporary space. "It’s firmly in the universe. There’s a lot of fun callbacks, and there are direct lines to the past. But part of the goal of making this movie was to create something that could expand the Evil Dead universe further."

Can't blame them. Considering the current housing crisis, most folks would stay in place regardless of deadite infestation.

I don't like ads that tell me I'm gonna see more ads, but it kinda looks good from the small amount of footage we have to look at.

Visually, it looks interesting and even "Evil Dead-ish".
My points:
1- Deadites with white eyes are much more scary. The white eyes are a big trademark of the Deadites anyway, but for the new movies they keep choosing the Regan-like eyes. Why?
2- Too women. I think that we don't need a female Ash at this point. Mia Allen was different. In Evil Dead 2013, they had just split Ash into two co-protagonists: David Allen and Mia Allen. It was a very intelligent and witty move.
Hopefully they will dig into the mythology of the Necronomicon and the Kandarian Demon.
