Isn't that depressing. That no better audio format ever became mainstream. We are stuck stereo audio for music releases now a days.
Pathetic

We are stuck stereo audio for music releases now a days. Not quite true. DVD-A, SACD, and to a lesser extent, DTS. Get yourself a nice 5.1 rig and you'll regret saying what you said.

Humans can't even hear what CDs can deliver. What benefits would a "better" medium have?

The truly sad part is no good new music nowadays to listen to! It's all crap!! i listen to an assortment. sinatra tony bennett some classical. classic rock usually hundreds to choose from. select what you prefer. tunes are much better on a nice system. 5 or 7 channel w/subs. dts or atmos. many options. i listen much more to a nice rig. home theatre never sounded better with nice screens also. live music dvd and blrays exceptional. still many great artists. i have gone to hundreds of shows. still do
