I had so huge plans yesterday of what and how many films I was going to see during this weekend, but I only managed 3 films before I "collapsed" in bed. So hopefully I might be able of trying to "survive" a few more titles later on. Still, I have not yet decided which ones, but at least Trick or Treat (1986) is surely one I will either open up, or end the challenge with.

Even the opening of Scream is pretty intense for a kid. You've got nothing to apologize for to us on this board. You might have a thing or two to explain to their friends' parents.

Watching Evil Dead II as I drink my coffee. Might watch Army of Darkness, then Creepshow later in the afternoon if time/desire permits. Today is the first day the sun has come out in nearly a week, so I may spend a good chunk of the day outside.
My Anonymous Lady and I have already planned on watching Halloween (2018) and Shaun of the Dead tonight. π»

I had a list of 23 movies I wanted to watch this month. I watched none. So obviously I had to prioritize today.
I figure I can watch horror movies whenever, but Halloween themed movies are for Halloween and I can't really play catchup with those. It's now or next year.
So today I started off with It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Fuckin' classic. A must watch every year. Then I watched Halloweentown. Great classic Disney channel Halloween movie. Now I'm watching The Innkeepers. That's my personal favorite horror movie.
Tonight I figure I'll watch the original Halloween. Maybe Trick 'r Treat. And maybe this month hasn't been a Halloween horrorthon success, but I'm happy with today.

"The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" (1949)
I had planned to watch some additional "Halloween" films today... But, when I heard about the passing of Sir Sean Connery, I decided to watch a few of his films instead. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", was probably the most 'supernatural' of those, with the villain drinking from the wrong cup.
I then plan to watch some various "Halloween" TV Shows, but, I don't think I'll be able to watch any more MOVIES before the end of the day.
I may watch some more tomorrow.

I watched a lot of pieces of different movies. The weirdest and the only one I think I'd never seen was the 5 Thousand Fingers of Dr. T. It was a script by Dr. Seuss, which clearly was also included his designs in the art direction, but not based on any of his books or anything. Weird stuff.
We were busy prepping stuff for a small get together and had Halloween, Halloween H20, Trick R' Treat, Halloween 4, Evil Dead 2, Pet Sematary, Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sweeney Todd, What We Do in the Shadows, and others throughout the day... also some Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors.

I caught a double feature of Scream and Nightmare Before Christmas in the theater. I didn't realize how many of these revival screenings there are. I see it is playing in several of my local cinemas.

There's basically been nothing but revival screenings since the theaters reopened. I also saw The Lost Boys a few weeks ago, and local theaters have also been playing Nightmare, Halloween, Psycho, The Shining, Exorcist, and a looooooot of Beetlejuice and Hocus Pocus.

Everybody else here went with the classics, I had a pile of 'new' horror movie DVDs I was working my way through, I cracked open 2 I'd never seen before, "Open Grave" with Sharlto Copley, and "Zombie Apocalypse", generic term you wouldn't actually think would be the title for a movie, not a bad plot, interesting dialogue thrown back and forth about what would/wouldn't work fighting zombies, but BAAAAAAD special effects, every single kill, and they have a zombie tiger, all looks like graphics from a cheap video game.
