What jobs to they perform?
Although I have wondered exactly what they do, this thread was inspired by the IMDB biography of the Olson twins. The biography for Mary-Kate Olson states, "At age 6, she and Ashley became the youngest producers in history." How is anyone that young capable of business decisions?

Make a boring speech to close out the Oscars if they win Best Picture.

While that is vaguely what I thought that they did, I was more curious about how the Olson twins could be producers a the age of six. Since a lot of money is riding on the job, how is a six-year-old capable of making financial decisions involving thousands of dollars?

I assume that in this particular case it just means that it was their money that was invested in the production.

I assume that in this particular case it just means that it was their money that was invested in the production. I'm going to accept that as a probable answer. The IMDB page says that they were the youngest producers. If all they did was supply the money, I'm assuming daddy (or whoever their financial guardian was) was investing their money for them.

I believe a mixture of putting the movie up and maybe coming up with an idea and then hiring a director/writer to put it on script.
