She doesn't look older. At all. Nope.

Well I'm on board... Just hoping there's no animal cruelty. (Shot of her holding the Rat.) That's one thing that turns me off. Edit: I remember she killed a Pigeon in part 1. But it was mostly offscreen. They did a pretty good job using forced perspective in this... I'm wondering if there will be anymore twists.

She looks a lot more convincingly young in this trailer than in the set photos. So that's reassuring.
Trailer itself is fine. I expect it to be a fun time but that's about it.

The director said there's potential for a 3rd movie.

So I guess it's out now? Not great marketing push.

It was fun... I liked how it was filmed and the production. I'd be down for more movies.

Well, this was a surprise. I really didn't like the first one, and this sounded like a genuinely terrible idea, but the movie honestly kinda slapped. Even the deaging of Fuhrman worked...shame it ate up the CGI budget, as the climax looked like a Nostalgia Critic sketch, but oh well. Still had fun.

Even the deaging of Fuhrman worked...shame it ate up the CGI budget, as the climax looked like a Nostalgia Critic sketch, but oh well. Still had fun. Other than ever saying anything 'slapped' I mostly agree. Watched it this morning and it was very, very stupid, but fun. I didn't think the de-aging worked hardly at all, but it was all part of the fun of it too. Seeing this grown woman's face cut-and-pasted onto a smaller body or seeing the adult actors just standing over her was never convincing... especially when the little girl body they pasted her onto starts overpowering grown men and killing them. But this is a ludicrous movie, with ludicrous twists and turns, and ridiculous ideas, so the silly looking effects are actually OK. The title is also nonsense, as it depicts neither her first kill nor involves her being an orphan, and the whole premise of the plot makes no sense and then makes less sense as details are revealed. But again; fun. Like a lifetime movie with a little more money behind it.

I suspect they were inspired by the conspiracy theories surrounding Jon Benet Ramsay

I didn't know about those conspiracy theories, but this storyline does seem like something some crazy loon on the internet would accuse someone of doing, so I could see that.

I was quite surprised by First Kill, albeit not liking it as much as the original but it was a worthy prequel. It is ludicrous but that is part of the fun of these movies, and even then I was genuinely shocked when that twist came halfway through. The de-aging I thought worked fine, much better than I thought they'd handle it, and Fuhrman is amazing just as last time.
