Terrible idea, absolutely pointless. I liked the original well enough but this is a one-and-done concept.

This will be a prequel to a movie most people forgot existed. And that shit is expensive, from what I hear. Also it looked terrible in It.

It was a pretty expensive movie. But with that 'deepfake' stuff being pretty accessible and looking pretty good at times, you'd think it won't be too far off.

I'm pretty surprised they are going through with it as well... and using Isabelle Furhman again... I'm wondering if she'll reach a certain age and Esther will begin to regress physically using digital techniques etc. Or if she'll look like a kid right from the jump.
I like Julia Stiles. Nice to see her in a horror type thriller again since "The Omen", "Wicked", and "The cry of the Owl" etc.

Hmmm. Don't know how I feel about that. The film was utterly creepy and shocking. Not sure I care to see what she went through prior to getting adopted.

What for? Running out of ideas again. Srsly, these movie makers should just slum it in the south Bronx for ideas. Plethora of creepy psychological shit happening on a daily basis here.

A prequel sort of defeats the purpose of the original twist.

They did release Vampires vs The Bronx on Netflix recently. Although it was mostly shot in Brooklyn from what I understand. It was fun, but I sojt think it quite nailed the feel of the location and the neighborhood vibe. And the apartments looked a little too nice.

And the apartments looked a little too nice. i havent seen it but ill take a look. yeah, i dont think they actually FILM in the bronx. The garbage everywhere [literal], the shootings, theres nothing to show in a movie here. you cant even use an actual PROJECT apartment building because the people who live there wont behave themselves so it CAN be used. they actually DONT want to better themselves or #adult because then that means that they would be held responsible for their decisions and actions. there are some areas in the bronx that are really nice [mostly northern] but those are great, relatively safe areas. not the BS that the bronx is now unfortunately known for. im mainly talking about going to a hotel somewhere [theres one near 138th street/THE HUB subway station] and just sitting in a chair during the day outside [everyone does it] and watching the world go by] a lot of psychological bs as i said. parents wont discipline their kids, wont even attempt to keep them safe! ive even seen parents push their kids into the street to see if they could get hit so they could sue the driver AND THEN GOFUND the crap out of the situation.
