Ennio Morricone's LOLITA. James Newton Howard's BIG TROUBLE (so underrated that you can't even find the music on YouTube) and DINOSAUR.

Bernard Herrmann's scores for Ray Harryhausen fantasy films: The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad The Three Worlds of Gulliver The Mysterious Island Jason And The Argonauts
Regarded largely as kid's movies, Herrmann's masterful work for them was overlooked in their day.

sostie I'm not sure about S.H. It got an Oscar nomination and a lot of people seem to remember that more than other aspects of the production.

politicidal I'm not sure about M.O.S. At the time, people focused mainly on comparing it to John Williams' theme, but it seems to have gotten more love over time. Hans even added it in a setlist for one of his concerts.

Ennio Morricone's LOLITA. James Newton Howard's BIG TROUBLE (so underrated that you can't even find the music on YouTube) and DINOSAUR. Having not seen the movie, I now listened to the main theme from Lolita for the first time, and I agree, it's a beauty.
State Of Grace is another Morricone score I find really underrated.

State of Grace has a good score, but it is very similar to some of his previous stuff imo. I prefer his Hamlet score from the same year.

Since the movie came up in another thread: I always loved Carter Burwell's score for Conspiracy Theory.

James Newton Howard's score for The Happening is great. It's just unfortunately attached to a bad movie.
