Dreadful disappointment, and I only saw the highlights. They all looked knackered. Sanchez was lively and Rooney seemed dead serious faced in the kick off tunnel, but as I say, I only saw the highlights. I don't think I'd've enjoyed the full 90 minutes. What was it Jonathan Pierce said in his commentary "This is like going to an Elvis Presley concert and finding out that Elvis is ill and they bring on Shakin' Stevens...someone make a tackle...PLEASE...(someone makes a tackle...) Thank you!"

I'm sure Jose was pleased to get it out of the way and allow his team to concentrate on Celta Vigo.
Similarly I've no doubt that the Arse will use it to justify another 5-year contract. "I beat Jose for the first time in 15 years, what more do you want ?"

Saw Wenger post-match and they asked him will he be in the BBC matchroom next season. He says "I don't know. You want me to work for the BBC?" It's now reached the point where I honestly believe the fellow is drawing some perverted pleasure in keeping his little secret.

There is no secret. Wenger only leaves when Wenger is sacked.
