The only colorized movie I can watch is Red River - and it turns up here about once a year. About 30 years ago I tried both The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca but couldn't stomach them in colour. Both are in their normal b/w when shown now. Maltese Falcon in color! Good God man! That is heresy! Film noir should never be in color! Unless it’s a neo noir, of course. "Neo Noir" is not noir. Nothing that is in color is noir.

Jimmy Stewart hated colorization and I agree with him. This movie is perfection in glorious Black & White.

Jimmy Stewart hated colorization and I agree with him. This movie is perfection in glorious Black & White. When colorization was just getting off the ground Burt Lancaster went onto Larry King's TV show to denounce it.
