Peds enhanced their super stardom where they were superior athletes in the likes of Bonds, McGwire and Clemens - it didn't 'create them'. PED Users. Hall of Fame. Yay or Nay I go 'Yay'. 1-0 'Yay'. Go!

Nay. ol' sayin life, 'if you're not cheatin you're not trying' i actually think this was the case with Bonds. he saw McGwire and Sosa go on that tear on a pace to break the record and he was thinking to himself, 'you've got to be kidding me - if these guys could do it - i can shatter it'. and that's no disrespect towards McGwire and Sosa

Lets say that I am a marathon runner. Not the Michael Jordan of marathon runners, but a pretty good one, say the James Worthy of marathon runners. I've won several, I always finish in the top whatever percentage of participants. The Boston Marathon is coming up and all those ridiculously talented Ethiopians are running in it. I know I can't beat them - I'm good but I'm not that good. So I decide to take this shortcut that will shave a few miles off of the race for me. Because of this I end up winning.
Now let me ask you - why should I be celebrated as a great marathon runner who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame when I cheated, just because I was pretty good prior to cheating? The Hall of Fame is for the best of the best, the pinnacle, the elites of your sport. Just because Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens may have been good enough to be elected prior to using PEDs, not getting into the Hall of Fame is the PUNISHMENT for cheating. What is the value of amassing career stats like Bonds and Clemens when they didn't get there on their own? They are worthless cheating losers who don't even deserve to drive near the Hall of Fame.
So again I say, fuck Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, Palmeiro, McGwire, and all the other juicers.

Are You Not Entertained?!?

Somewhat torn. Everyone knew it was happening. You couldn't look at McGwire or Barry Lamar and NOT know something was fishy. And no one cared. "Chicks dig the long ball". The indignation of today is comical. But I don't like the reasoning behind the great Chemistry Experiment. The juicers didn't do it for the betterment of their teams. They did it for personal glory and nine figure contracts. The single season HR record, once the greatest record in the game, is now fucked. Noone will ever hit 74. Might as well be one of those 19tg Century pitching stats that are ignored. All because Bonds wasn't getting enough attention. I can't see that as an argument for putting BL Bonds in Cooperstown.

Same with Tom Brady. Not the best QB, but not a bad one. Grew up in the Bay Area watching Joe Montana, the greatest QB ever, win multiple Super Bowls. Wanted to be just like Joe, but Brady knew he wasn't that good and knew he couldn't win multiple Super Bowls like Montana without cheating. So Brady decided to take a shortcut and cheat. Because of cheating, Brady wins at least 4 Super Bowls that he wouldn't have won without cheating.
Why should Brady be celebrated as a great QB when he cheated? He's a worthless cheating fraud.

1. Because no one in their right mind is going to retroactively apply a 2006 rule change to prior seasons and then try to declare them null and void.
2. Because you'd be hard pressed to find anyone (excluding butt-hurt trolls) these days who doesn't think Deflategate was a ridiculous witch-hunt.
There's no point it trotting out your failed arguments again, cupcake. Whether you like it or not, Brady is being celebrated as the greatest QB. That's a fact you're just going to have to choke on.

They did play better ball. No conceivable positives came from the Black Sox and Rose. And I'm not in favor of putting the juicers into the HOF

2. There are at least 2 judges on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals who don't think DeflateGate was a witch-hunt.
Whether you like it or not, Brady was found guilty of cheating by the NFL, a verdict that was affirmed by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. So Brady has been officially labeled a cheater and fraud by the league that he plays for. That's a fact you're just going to have to choke on.

Well I'm not American, and we don't really do this 'Hall of Fame' thing here, but the answer is obviously not. I'll tell you where they do belong though... in jail! Think about it, they've defrauded other people out of earnings, glory and maybe even careers. Prison is where they belong, not the Hall of Fame!

they've defrauded other people out of earnings, glory and maybe even careers. That's the same with Tom Brady. He cheated his way to at least 4 championships and he defrauded other hard-working playersout of earnings, glory, and maybe even careers.
