This is why I think the Snyder Cut is a huge mistake.

It’s even more pathetic that Oz felt it was worth his attention.

It's pathetic that some people still vehemently hate The Last Jedi. It's been nearly three years. Let it go. You do a great service by having the word "fan" in quotations. Real Star Wars fans don't harass the directors or the cast on social media.

I say just move on. The sequel trilogy has it's fans. Shouldn't bother others if it does.

I will never understand people who gets mad because of a movie. And to still go on hating on Last Jedi years after it was released is just stupid.
Disappointed over a movie i get. I have been disappointed by movies but my disappointed over a movie last for like 5 seconds and than i move on.
But what is even more stupid is that it seems like some people are actually bothered that there are people who like the sequel trilogy.
Frank Oz is right in what he wrote. i really like this part of what he wrote "Please try to understand that writers & directors are not there to fulfill the audience’s expectations. Good work breaks expectations." Because he is 100% correct
Some Star Wars fans really need to accept that Star Wars are just movies and tv shows.

We all have our opinions of Star Wars and continue to discuss them. But to be taking it personally 3 years later. And claiming emotional damage and wishing some kind of physical punishment on the maker(s) of the film... And as Jan El Señor said, why even waste time and energy addressing somebody on that page.

The problem comes partially from what we did and didn't get. I think Disney does and doesn't own the rights to the EU. It's like what the Hulk situation was. I think Kennedy was telling the truth when she said they didn't have a source material to work from. With them not owning the full rights, they couldn't just adapt the books (at the time of the actors ages which is Legacy of the Force). But at the same time, they could work around it by partially adapting them. Through exposition and flashbacks we get an adaption of The Jedi Academy trilogy in which a student is turned by a ghost from the past. Legacy of the Force is about Han and Leia's son turning to the dark side, taking over the New Republic and turning it into the Empire.
The mistake in doing this is that they tried to do all of it undercover and yet started over with a fresh character in Rey to try and recapture that Luke magic when they didn't have to. With Rey they should have just done a Cal Kestis. A former student of Luke's that is slowly regaining her abilities after being in hiding. Hell, it would have made The Last Jedi better since he would have known her.
