Tonight's Final Jeopardy in the category of Novel Characters:
"This character from an 1851 novel 'was intent on an audacious, immitigable, and supernatural revenge' ”
No one got it.

Who was Jean Valjean? Who was Miss Havisham? So close, mmexis. So very close. One of the replies was the Count of Monte Cristo, another was Frankenstein, the third drew a blank.

I cannot understand why I remember this differently from the OP. I do remember the clue about Moby Dick but somehow I remember tonight's Final Jeopardy ending with "Who were Lincoln and Douglas" although I don't remember how the clue was worded. I got it right and one of the three contestants did as well. Anybody else remember it that way?

I'm certain I saw it the night of Dec 3, but when I googled it to get the exact wording of the clue, the web page said it was December 2. Well, I can astonish my gf by knowing the answer to tonight's Final Jeopardy.
