He could probably use a break from his direct-to-DVD work.

Holy crap that's a ton of Star Wars projects. The only idea I don't like is the fighter pilot movie. This has Solo written all over it. They overestimated how much people care about Han Solo, and clearly they're overestimating how much people care about rando fighter pilots. That said, Jenkins' passion for the project gives me a little hope.

Disney needs to be careful with oversaturation since it has done it before. Just throwing many movies and shows out there regularly makes them feel like product instead of events. Anticipation and space needs to be built up for these things.

They announce a million projects but nothing with Hamill? That's disappointing.

His cameo in TROS was meant to be a course correction for his character. But you can’t really make an impressionable course correction with a cameo. And his cameo performance was overshadowed by half the critics hating on the movie anyway. The damage is done. And after Kathleen Kennedy worked so hard to get his character out of SW why would she invite Luke Skywalker back in? It’s not surprising that Hamill isn’t in any of the new projects.

Star Wars has sucked since 1983, y'all.
1983.
