Hedges feels strangely miscast here, also have heard the screenplays middling.

I read the novel a few months back. An easy read and could be a good if lightweight showcase for Pfeiffer. Hedges is a fine actor but he is at least ten years too young for the character as written. His character is the clear protagonist in the book but it seems like they have brought Pfeiffer’s character to the fore.
