Does anyone else think a booby trapped toy store would have been a better idea instead of using the house Kevin used in Home Alone 2? In the first one, Kevin booby trapped his house to stop Harry and Marv, while in the second one Kevin booby traps the toy store to stop Harry and Marv when their trying to rob the place.
What does everyone think?

There would have been a lot of damage to Duncan's store with all the traps going off. But then again, Kevin already damaged it by breaking a window which set off an alarm.

Absolutely not. The damage to Duncan's Toy Store would be catastrophic, and cost thousands in insurance to repair. Not to mention, Mr. Duncan would owe money to the toy creators for the potential damage if any of the merchandise is deemed unsellable.

Well, it depends on how servere the traps are. Kevin didn't do much damage to his house in the first one.
I think it'd be a nice change of pace compared to some uncle's conveniently abandoned house in walking distance from Duncan's.

I feel like Kevin wouldn’t go that far. Sure, it’d make for a more interesting setting conceptually, but he liked that store and Mr. Duncan way too much to put it through that.

It would've been more interesting, the A-Team once used the supplies of a toy store (complete with fireworks, well, I guess you just had to be in California in the 80s for it to make sense) for one of their infamous building scenes.

Coney Island. Anything is better than that putrid slum of a building.
