I recently listened to a podcast episode from Trace Evidence about two murders about a week apart in hotels in New York City in the 80’s, both with an axe. I was quite shocked to learn that this is a little known case and could barely find any information on it at all. Does anyone have any information on this case? As I’m sure most of you know there’s a criteria for posts on this subreddit to provide a high quality link, I couldn’t even really find one of them - this is all I could really find, a link to the podcast; www.spreaker.com/user/traceevidence/140-nyc-hotel-axmasteredThe theory that I most buy into is that the perpetrator was an out of town visitor, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me that he would commit two very similar murders in the span of a week and then disappear without a trace, so the only conclusion that I can logically jump to is that he wasn’t a New York native, and he was visiting Manhattan from out of town / state.
