Here are some religious movies that I like....
Dogma - Funny stuff from filmmaker Kevin Smith with actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
Last Temptation of Christ - Perhaps an actually realistic view on Jesus. The dude was human; Mary Magdeline was hot.
And God Spoke - Funny satire of the making of a religious movie. Worth seeing if you could get a copy.
Glory, Glory - Not the Denzel Washington / Matthew Broderick movie, but a cute satire of TV evangelist trying to save his ministry after his father passes away.

La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc (The Passion of Joan of Arc) / Carl Theodor Dreyer (1928) The Song Of Bernadette / Henry King (1943) Nattvardsgästerma (Winter Light) / Ingmar Bergman (1962). Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo (The Gospel According to St. Matthew) / Pier Paolo Pasolini (1964). (For me, the ONLY Jesus movie) Kundun / Martin Scorsese (1997). Léon Morin, Prêtre (Leon Morin, Priest) / Jean-Pierre Melville (1962). Die Große Stille (Into Great Silence) / Philip Gröning (2005). Mlyn I Krzyz (The Mill And The Cross) / Lech Majewski (2011).
A few more that might be called films that are good for the soul but not "religious."
The Razor’s Edge / Edmund Goulding (1946) Ikiru / Akira Kurosawa (1952) Au Hasard Balthazar / Robert Bresson (1966) Babettes Gaestbud (Babette’s Feast) / Gabriel Axel (1987 The Straight Story / David Lynch (1999)

I was going to mention that this sounds like a dry judgement in court, but I suppose it could means churches have to pay up.

Silence (2016)
Because it portrays God in the way I want to believe God actually is. Understanding.
