I'm sure that was part of it. Now it's not? Could this be the Mandela effect at work in front of our/my eyes?

I have faith in science, faith in numbers, and faith in history. Does anyone remember Thalidomide, a drug that had an unusual side effect that surfaced in certain demographics many months after ingestion. Luckily, the FDA had not yet approved it for sale in USA when the side effects were discovered. For this reason, I'm willing to wait and wait some more, probably until spring, for the Covid vaccine.
