The people of Catholic Ireland disagree with you. They voted in landslide to legalise abortion and gay marriage despite the criticism of religious positions on those issues. No one is attacking religion, people and attitudes change. The Irish aren’t Hispanic Catholics. They also aren’t immigrating to the US in large numbers. No but the Irish catholics were a huge immigration demographic in the US at one point and did overwhelmingly vote Democrat (the Kennedys come to mind)

The Democrats used to seek the working class vote. Not anymore. They've had gotten worse with the working class admittingly (neoliberalism has poisoned the party). But they're still unquestionably better for working class, they're generally more for things like increase in livable wage, unions, socialized healthcare, and welfare reform. This can even be seen right now in congress (the Dems wanna do a $2000 COVID stimulus, McConnell and the GOP keep shooting it down and only wanna do $600). Also you do realize left wing populist Dems like Sanders and AOC have gotten huge working class support, right?

In a pandemic, the Dems have a 6000 page list of how to send TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS AROUND THE WORLD while Americans lock down.
Trump demanded $2000 but he wants no pork.
The Dems gave Congress 6 HOURS to read a 6000 page document before they had to sign or not sign it.
No other country including Israel should get money right now. If there is TRILLIONS TO HAND OUT, give it to American CITIZENS. All of it.

If you’re determined to divide politics between non-religious and religious, keep in mind: Hispanics are Catholics (especially the ones immigrating from Catholic countries). Arabs, Pakistanis, etc, tend to be Muslims. Immigrants from Nigeria are usually Christians. African Americans are often devout Christians. California had a vote to legalize gay marriage before the US Supreme Court settled it. This vote lost in California due to Hispanic and black voters. Just how out of touch with reality are you?

The California COVID cases only spiked after we removed a bunch of the restrictions, the state had to put back them back, so obviously they were working. And what numbers are you looking at btw? If you're looking at overall numbers then obviosuly our rate is gonna be higher (California is the most populated state).
