No more Scrooge movies are allowed on major networks, unless they're not real Scrooge movies. Scrooge films denoted the true Christmas spirit. Finney and Scott were in excellent adaptations of the story. Scrooge was an ignorant miser who gets redemption. Modern remakes make him a Satanist who is quite obviously lying when he says he is redeemed.
Hollywood hates Christmas, and they hate Christians. They have all the weapons and there is no excuse for them not to win the war against Christianity, yet somehow, by some supernatural force, they haven't totally destroyed Christianity nor Christmas. How feeble can you get? For them to lose the war against Christmas is like a two thousand man battalion armed with loaded flame throwers, bazookas, rifles, and holy hand grenades not being able to demolish a drunken caveman with a stick.

Of all the right wing Christians lame laments, the Liberal's War on Christmas is the most ludicrous. They keep saying "war on Christmas!" and all the liberals are going like "where?". Unless it's the four of five, maybe six times, over the course of 50 years where some separation of church and state group has sued a city government for paying for and displaying a creche scene on public property...which I don't object to, by the way...I don't know where they are getting it from. Liberals Love Christmas! I love manger scenes. My mom collected them. I still have one nice resin Fontanini set, though I gave the rest of them my nieces and nephews. She had some cute ones too like a Precious Moments, Charlie Brown, etc.    This last image made me chuckle just a bit - did you know that there is a Precious Moments Chapel in Missouri? The Movie Channel showed Godspell tonight.  Was The Passion of the Christ not available to them to show on Christmas Day ? I didn't notice The Ten Commandments being played anywhere this year. It was followed by the Henry Winkler faux Scrooge. |

It's just that recently there are people bitching and moaning abut Christmas being everywhere and each "side" is accusing the other of wanting to Stop Christmas from Coming .

You can blame capitalism, and marketing: an important component of business, appeasing all stakeholders for the sake of profit. There’s also the demographics/child factor of Christmas too, on Xmas day, the BBC aired recent Disney animated films. Children aren’t going to watch B&W 1930s films you stupid asshole.
