I had checked for WW84 this afternoon just to see what it was going at and see if some militant anti-sjw's had tanked the audience score. I didn't think that would happen for it, but you never can tell with that crowd. And it was certified fresh at 73 or 74% with like 150 total and 40 bad reviews. No audience score yet.
Well fast forward to the late night/early morning and a friend asked me have I seen it yet. I said no I was holding off until I went up to NC Sunday. He is a guy that has so many things in his queue that he actually uses IMDB and RT to help him weed and sort. He asked me what it was and I told him. I also told him there wasn't an audience score so he'd have to check that. That's when he texted me back that it wasn't certified.
I don't think I've ever seen that. I thought they waited until it was pretty much safe to cert it. Now it's sitting at 68% with 266 total and 86 bad.
It's not going to change if I watch it or not. Or tarnish my viewing I just found that odd. Has that happened before and I'm just an idiot?

What movie are you talking about? Sorry WW84. I had meant to put it in the subject line but ran out of room. And just forgot to put it in the first sentence.

I'm also surprised that the critic score is actually lower than the audience score. I was expecting it to be the other way around.

Joker had certified fresh removed due to woke critics slamming it.

I'm also surprised that the critic score is actually lower than the audience score. I was expecting it to be the other way around. That might be because the number of verified reviews is probably going to be small because they verify through ticket sales. The unverified is at 46%. Now some of that is just people fucking with the movie no doubt. Those that were genuine and actually would've been verified if they could've gone to a theater and seen it would've lowered the verified number.

It has happened before. Joker is one example (final score 68%).

The IMDb score went from like 6.8 to 5.9 in like 2 days. Never seen this before.

The IMDb score went from like 6.8 to 5.9 in like 2 days. Never seen this before. That's because the original score was based only on those who got to view an advanced screening. Once it fully released, then the general audience reviews poured in.

It has happened before. Joker is one example (final score 68%). I guess I didn't pay attention. I thought that the didn't certify it just let it be the percentage it was until it was almost impossible for it to drop below 70% then they certified it.

If I recall, in the case of Joker, it took until the movie had somewhere close to 200 reviews before it became certified fresh. Evidently, they were being really careful in that case, but then the movie lost that certification anyway. In the case of WW84, they were quick to make the movie certified fresh before it even reached 100 reviews.

If WW84 (333 critics reviewed) gets around the same amount of Critics reviewing it as WW (461 critics reviewed) and the pace of dropping is constant (it's at 62%) then something I didn't think would ever happen will. WW84 might go rotten. That would be a hell of a drop from the original at 93% to below 60%.

When it does, I think WB would be motivated to ensure this doesnโt happens again.

Down to 60 % with 354 reviews , probably will get around 400 reviews when all said and done. Probably end at 59%

RT has zero credibility at this point. I have no idea why anyone uses it as a guide to the quality of a newly released tentpole movie. They are in the pocket of all the big movie studios and will do anything they can to stay there.

To keep it rated as certified fresh? WB who owns DC is big movie studio, right? Yet it is sitting at 60% right now.
