Previous Winnners:
2008: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Jennifer Deveraux)
2009: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Jennifer Deveraux)
2010: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Lucas Horton)
2011: Lucas Horton (Runners-Up: Shawn D. Brady and Belle Black)
2012: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Belle Black)
2013: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Kristen DiMera)
2014: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Philip Kiriakis)
2015: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: E.J. DiMera)
2016: Jack Deveraux (Runner-Up: Bo Brady)
2018: Bo Brady and Lucas Horton (Runners-Up: Philip Kiriakis and Mike Horton)
2019: Lucas Horton (Runner-Up: Bo Brady)
This should be fun, because generally Jack always wins, unless he's on the show, and in that case Lucas wins. Now they're both back. This is probably Bo's, but let's see how it goes!

I'd love to have Bo back but only if it's Peter and only if he doesn't get back with Hope. Neither of these things would happen.

It really is a shame they can't have Mike on the show.

It really is a shame they can't have Mike on the show. Agreed. It's strange to me that in over 20 years they haven't brought him back (except for his brief return for Alice's funeral) I guess Roark has somewhat of a primetime career so maybe they tried and he wasn't interested, but it's not like they can't recast him, they've certainly done it before. If they can get Roark and Christie back for at least an arc, it would be cool to reunite them, now that Austin and Carrie are divorced again.

Yes, as much as I'd like to see Roark back, recast is fine at this point, it's been long enough.
He should be a core character for sure.

I'd be in all in for a Mike/Carrie reuinion - make them sort of the anchor Horton/Brady family, raising their kids (hers with Austin, any new ones Mike might have floating around), maybe popping out a couple of their own together. The focus of the show has been scattered for such a long time, and I've always thought - and I think it's been discussed here in the past - that it might help to sort of center the show on one family, with all of these other characters connected to them. Kind of the way Alice and Tom and their kids/grandkids were the original anchor of the show.

I’m still a Michael Weiss fan of Mike Horton. I thought Roark was good but Michael was part of the best years of Days and I really liked his relationships with Robin and Emilio’s sister (I can’t remember her name right now!).

I’m still a Michael Weiss fan of Mike Horton. I thought Roark was good but Michael was part of the best years of Days and I really liked his relationships with Robin and Emilio’s sister (I can’t remember her name right now!). April Ramirez! I also liked Michael T. Weiss' Mike, I tend to prefer Roark's since he's really the one I grew up with (MTW's Mike was before my time, though I've since gone back and watched him when watching old J&J episodes) and I think Carrie is his most iconic relationship. But if Roark's off the table? By all means, bring him back. I remember he starred in that old NBC Saturday Night show "The Pretender" in the late '90s but I haven't seen him do anything since. MTW's Mike was like the designated funny guy. He would do lots of voices and wear Hawaiian shirts and stuff. It actually almost felt like when MTW left there, Jack got thrust into the role of funny guy to replace him, and that sort of is part of what made him so iconic. Roark's quiet, sensitive, romantic Mike was way different. But both were great!

I saw both Mike's in my time and yes they were very different. and both were very good in the role and I enjoyed both of them so if either was brought back, I'd be ok with that. I haven't seen Roark in anything lately either and I have no idea what MTW is up to nowadays.
I don't really remember Mike and Carrie's romance much. I just remember how ANNOYING Craig and Nancy were during that time.
