To date, I don't think the DCEU has had even a single truly well-done villain. The best was probably Zod, but he still seems mediocre when compared to the great cbm villains like Joker, Loki, Thanos, etc.
The rest usually range from passable (Ocean Master) to completely cringeworthy (Enchantress).
The villains in WW84 seem to have followed the same trend.
When will they get over this trend and how will they do it?
P.S. - I still think Faora had the best potential and could have been a great villain had she been made the main villain in MoS instead of Zod.

Faora was good very good but Zod should still remain the main villain. Faora was the muscle.

It seems like we get these kinds of topics every time one of these movies gets released.
Anyway, I think Dr. Sivana is a pretty good villain, and Black Mask is the best part of Birds of Prey.

Maxwell Lord had potential. I think if they tossed out Cheetah and gave him more backstory he could have been great.
DC doesn't have a lot of overly interesting villains to pick from. Batman and the Flash are really the only ones who have a big recognizable rogues gallery and most of the Flash's villains are bank robbers or they have the same powers he does.

I think Zod and Ocean Master were genuinely good;special mention to Faora and Black Mask. Ares and Sivana were serviceable but I think in the case of Ares, it'd been better if Danny Huston was the key villain after all. I don't hate Jared Leto's Joker as much as others seem to. The only ones I genuinely didn't care for at all were Enchantress and Steppenwolf.

I've always found Flash's villains a bit too campy and don't translate well to modern day cinematics. I'd much prefer Superman's rogue gallery... if they ever get the guts to explore it further than Luthor and other kryptonian offshoots.

Hell, Toyman would be a pleasant change of pace.

Can't complain when we had Black Manta with the helmet.

Anson Mount wants to play Green Lantern in a darker movie than the RR one. He'd actually probably do fine as Hal Jordan but methinks he's too old now.
