Only two superhero movies are currently in the National Film Registry, with TDK having just recently been added. Should any movie in the MCU deserve to be added to that library in the future? At the moment, the most likely candidate would be Black Panther.

I'd probably chose the first Iron Man or even the first Avengers tbh.

Objectively speaking... The Avengers & Black Panther. For those, including me, who aren't huge BP fans directly, that film remains a cultural touchstone of a blockbuster without question, & deserves this type of recognition down the road.

If Clerks made it in last year then a hand full of MCU should Clerks made it last year? Before A Clockwork Orange? 'Clerks' added to National Film Registry after drawing huge public support. "Clerks" has long been accepted as a classic and important film in New Jersey. But now its being recognized as such by the Library of Congress: the 1994 Kevin Smith movie was one of 25 films added to the National Film Registry this year. - 12/15/19

The more I think about it, Black Panther most likely will be added to the National Film Registry. I don’t think it’s a fantastic movie, but it was definitely a cultural phenomenon, and being the first CBM to get nominated for Best Picture is no small feat. The question is, will any of the other currently existing MCU films be included?

Definitely Iron Man at the very least.

I'd put the franchise as a whole in. Individual components may not get in there, or deserve to be, but as an overall achievement it does
