One set in the world of Robert Pattinson's film and the other will remain in the DCEU. From Walter Hamada himself:
"I don't think anyone else has ever attempted this," Hamada said of DC Films' plan for bringing two different Batmen to theaters on a consistent basis. "But audiences are sophisticated enough to understand it. If we make good movies, they will go with it."

If they still want to move forward with the DCEU, they should just retire Batman from that continuity and focus on the Robert Pattinson Batman.

IMO Robert Pattinson can be the young Batman in the solo movies, and Ben Affleck can be the older Batman in the Justice League movies. I'd be ok with that. There should be more Justice League movies with the current cast. Just get better directors and writers. I don't see a problem.

I'd love if Affleck came back but I'm not sure how many he'd want to do besides his Flash cameo(?).

No one else has ever attempted it because it's stupid.

The point is that they're separated by Pattinson being in the solo movies, and Affleck being in the Justice League movies, and the fact that they're at different ages and stages. I think audiences would accept the difference, and the movies could still potentially work. Plus, all ya'll white folk look the same to me. LOL!

No one else has ever attempted it because it's stupid. We'll see you at the movies. And don't say we wont because we all know you're going.

Now that I think about it, it was rumored a while back that Michael Keaton’s Batman would play some kind of Nick Fury role in the DCEU. I don’t really get what the point of that is, but it’s their movies...

I'm not sure how I feel about this but what I do know is that I no longer want Affleck as Batman anymore he has let himself go. If there has to be two Batmen onscreen at the same time in order to correct that then so be it.

The only good thing about continuing the DCEU Batman aside from the possible continuation of the Snyder-verse is seeing Red Hood. That’s it. Other than that I don’t think they should go this route but oh well I guess.
If it was up to me, no DCEU Batman films. Just keep him only for JL 2 and 3. Battinson can have his own shared universe only for Gotham characters.

I guess that means they are going to try to do more Justice League movies?

Are they still planning that Joaquin Phenix Joker trilogy? That'd be three Batman continuities at once. God help us.

Only hardcore fans will be able to make sense of something like this. The general audience will find this very confusing.
Normie: "Hey, did you hear the news about that Batman movie?" Fanboy: "Which Batman?" Normie: "What do you mean which Batman?" Fanboy: "We do have more than one Batman you know..." Normie: "Oh, well then it's the old one." Fanboy: "Ah, Ben Affleck's Batman." Normie: "What? No no, I meant Pattinson's Batman." Fanboy: "But you said 'the old one'?" Normie: "I meant the older Batman movie. You know, the Pattinson Batman that came out 2 years ago." Fanboy: *Sigh* "Ok fine, I know what you're talking about. What about it?" Normie: "Well, there's news that they're making a new Batman movie to follow it." Fanboy: "Wrong, they're making a new Batman film but it won't be a sequel to that movie." Normie: "Ok so I guess they're just rebooting Pattinson's Batman then with someone new?" Fanboy: "No, Pattinson will still get another Batman movie. This one is actually bringing back Ben Affleck as an older Batman..." Normie: "Affleck? I thought they discontinued that... which is why the Batman movies got rebooted with Pattinson?" Fanboy: "Nope. We're getting movies made with both Affleck's Batman and Pattinson's Batman." Normie: "Ah, so Affleck plays the older version of Pattinson? I get it now." Fanboy: "Nope, they're completely different characters that are not connected." Normie: "Oh, so one of them plays one of those Batmen that isn't Bruce Wayne?" Fanboy: "No no, both of them play Bruce Wayne. They're playing the exact same character." Normie: "Is this one of those multiverse things you tried to explain to me before." Fanboy: "Nope. As far as I can tell, these two Batman universes have completely nothing to do with each other. Multiverse or no. Just that they're treated as completely separate entities." Normie: "I don't get it. Why do they have two separate Batman movies? Is it because they're produced by different studios?" Fanboy: "No, both from WB/DC." Normie: "But then... why??"
And if you think I'm exaggerating my sample discussion above, that's pretty much how I think my conversation with my wife will go if/when I have to explain to her why we have two different Batman actors continuously coming up with movies.

Your wife doesn't have to be interested in the same things you are you both know that right? When you both exchange your wedding vows I don't recall having to know the in and outs of your husband's or wife's favourite comic book universe a must in any prenuptial.
