Actor Granville Adams has died of cancer at age 58.
He was noted mostly for his arrest for manslaughter, when--while attempting to break up a fight in a club he managed, he flung a man against an elevator, causing the doors to open and the man falling to his death. In 2007, the charge was dropped; apparently the investigation proved that the man's death was an accident, but his family filed a civil suit against Adams.
Wiki does not say, but I'm guessing the case was still in litigation when Adams died.
