A wheelchair plays a major role in The Beast with Five Fingers but it seems to be camera shy !

Not from any films or movies, but since Seinfeld, Silver Bullet and Manhunter had all been brought up, I guess the other one I could think of right now, was from the very dramatic and quite shocking climax of the PS2 videogame, Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves (2004): where Bentley almost dies, and loses his ability to use his legs afterwards which in the third and final (of the PS2 Suckerpunch trilogy) causes Bentley, to end up in a wheelchair, a rather neat one I must say. As towards that game, as one go by, you can upgrade it with lots of cool stuff, and one of the main reasons to why I always loved playing as Bentley in the third one, named Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves (2005).

Another one, also not from any movies, but a rather damn enjoyable tv-series Dark Angel (2000-02), is when the character of Logan (Michael Weatherly) ends up in a wheelchair early on, and it will affect his way of life and choices for pretty much rest of the show, with lots of ups and downs.

Still commanding respect is Grga Pitić the wheelchair-bound old gypsy gangster in the Serbian black comedy Black Cat, White Cat (1998) Dir. Emir Kusturica. Set amongst a gypsy community who live on the banks of the Danube River in eastern Serbia. Manic, hilarious, the film is highly entertaining... Grga Pitić is also obsessed with the last line from the film Casablanca, "this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship", he watches the snippet compulsively on his TV set. Nothing but the best for the successful elder of the clan, seen here with his motorized mobility chair ...
