Of course people bothered by this probably haven't seen old James Bond movies. In Goldfinger for example, James Bond rapes a lesbian and converts her to heterosexuality.

No, trying to rape a girl in a car is rape. Trying to have sex with a girl who doesn't want to and nothing much happens, could be considered "attempted rape" if she chose to make an issue out of it.
A horny teenage boy isn't going to think too hard about his actions with another teen girl if he wants something from her and . It is up to the girl to decide if he is worth hanging around. If she was forced, or is way too drunk and passed out and taken advantage of, then it goes into the more serious realm of rapey behavior. A girl does not have to make something out of it for it to be attempted rape. Do not try and pin it on her actions. This was all Danny.
