Today is the 10th anniversary of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords. Fifteen days later, “Mark” from the Austin Stone Church called the Atheist Experience call-in show. Mark asks the hostesses what would change their minds about God. They tell Mark that all he needs to do is demonstrate the reason for his belief. Mark pointed to the fact that Giffords’ survival of a shooting is a miracle. That miracle is proof of God. The show’s hostesses ask about the nine year-old girl who was killed. Mark responds that Obama said she was in Heaven jumping over rain puddles. When the hostesses ask how Obama knew this, Mark back peddles and changes the subject. The hostesses try and get Mark to explain what defines a miracle by God. After a bit of double talk: Hostess: "So the plan was about killing several people so that God could show his benevolence in making someone go through rehab after getting brain damaged from a bullet through the brain. That’s your miracle? .. People are dead because someone shot into a crowd. I don’t consider it a miracle that one person survived."
The hostesses tear Mark a new one.
Mark calls the show occasionally with different hosts over a few months. Go to YouTube and enter, “Mark’s calls”. One of the entries is “A compilation of Mark’s calls”. For the specific call about Giffords, skip ahead to 10:30.

This Mark sounds like someone who participated in the riot at the Capitol this past Wednesday.
