I liked Thor: The Dark World as well. It was fun, Loki was great, as always, and had some cool action scenes and that thought-provoking ending as well. It was flawed though. I found Malekith to be definetly one of the weaker villains in the MCU and the story does go a bit fast. But other than that rather enjoyed. Very underrated film. 8/10

Like I said, Thor TDW was a fun enjoyable film that was decent. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite as good as a lot of other MCU movies. As a big Thor fan this irritates me to no end, how Thor seems to keep getting the short end of the stick in the MCU. Hopefully Ragnarok will change that.

I think it looks that way, Ragnarok looks fun, and looks like it will mostly be set in space. #TeamThor

dude, just take a small step back from all the kitsch and pulp: The simplest answer is often the correct one - this is just a bad, uninspired film.
Thor 1 was mediocre. Thor 2 is your typical follow-up for follow-up’s sake, formula without proper ideas or imagination.
It’s a poor man’s, eh kid’s, Norse mythology, with an infusion of space opera elements a la Star Wars to kill the moribund hybrid. The artwork and worldbuilding is derivative kitsch without inspiration reminding me of low budget TV shows.
The acting is without depth or care, the plot is as flat, messy and hole-ridden as the characters. The villains are your typical, lazily written “we want to bring darkness, because we are evil for evil’s sake, and so that the good guys can shine in the end” (literally) Marvel cardboard baddies. Utterly forgettable.
We are heading close to Transfomers-land with this. Thor 2 really deserves to be seen so that it can get the contempt it deserves.

Not that bad, but not great either. Kat Dennings is annoying tho. and Natalie Portman just looks like she doesn't want to be there

I remember it being well received when it first opened up in theatres, but over time its become viewed as one of if not the worst MCU installment to date.
I still think its a fun movie, however I wish they did more with Malekith and Kurse and tone down some of the comedy a little.

I think it is looked at as poor simply because it is the worst MCU film. It is not terrible, but it has its problems.
