Is this moron for real? www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19345569/lavar-ball-says-selling-495-shoes-son-lonzo-ball-doing-things-michael-jordan-never-did""Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one,'' LaVar Ball told USA Today in March. Ball averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds while playing for Washington State in the 1987-88 season." The question is, if you were the GM of a team in position to draft his kid, would you? I can see Daddy Ball becoming a colossal albatross around the teams neck. He will be screaming about the way the team is run, about the way the offense is run, the quality of Lonzo's teammates, the color of the uniforms, the softness of the toilet paper in the locker rooms, etc. And he will do it in the media. If it was me, I'd back off and save myself a peck of headaches.

I watched a interview in which he said that he would not (interfere or intervene, I cant remember which word) with coaching or team operations. I find that very hard to believe.

He's using the Donald Trump method of self-promotion, getting everyone to pay attention to himself by saying crazy, outrageous things.

LaVar Ball is great. He's what the NBA and society needs. The NBA and society needs attention whoring and general stupidity? Society has enough of that.

If it was me, I'd back off and save myself a peck of headaches. This is exactly what I've been thinking since this dude has been running his mouth and he's turned into ESPN's new clickbait machine. From a team perspective, you've gotta be insane to draft Lonzo Ball. He's not worth the headache and yes, I agree wholeheartedly that Lavar Ball is not going to just shut up all of a sudden and be satisfied. He's going to be poking his face into everything, from roster management all the way down to the toilet paper, as you said, GoodMan. The only way I'd draft him, if I was a GM, would be to immediately move him in a trade and get something tangible in return. Let Lavar Ball be someone else's headache.
