Of course everyone will mention The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
I wish I knew of some but none really come to mind.

Going strictly with haunted houses, not haunted hotels or churches or any other buildings:
The Haunting of Hill House (Shirley Jackson)
The Turn of the Screw (Henry James)
“The Haunted and the Haunters” (Edward Bulwer-Lytton)
“Count Magnus” (M.R. James)
“Mr. Humphreys and His Inheritance” (M.R. James)
“The Profiteers” (H.C. Bailey)
When Last I Died (Gladys Mitchell)
“The Judge’s House” (Bram Stoker)
“The Triumph of Night” (Edith Wharton)
Obviously more, but these came to mind…

Does House of Leaves count? It's the closest thing I can think of.

The Ghost Writer by John Harwood
The Woman In Black by Susan Hill
Property Of A Lady by Sarah Rayne
Haunted by James Herbert (although I very much prefer the movie)

I listened to 'Haunted' by James Herbert the other day. That was quite good.
