Found in Argentina, estimates of the newly discovered titanosaur indicate a length of 110 feet and a weight of 220,000 pounds.

That's big. 120 ft? Wouldn't that make it longer than the blue whale? I think the blue whale would still be heavier

It seems a new biggest dinosaur is found at least once every decade. I know they're interesting, but I still don't see the appeal of people dedicating their lives to them.

Them among others. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, people should do what they love. I just don't get the excitement over stuff like this at this point.

What's more fascinating is how they helo tell the history of the planet and contribute to the understanding of evolution.

Newly discovered dinosaur species, or biggest, are just the headline grabbers of the discipline. What's more fascinating is how they helo tell the history of the planet and contribute to the understanding of evolution. And I am sure there will be more finds in the future, that will contribute too... I think, we've just begun, in our understanding of all of that... There are a lot of places on Earth, where we have 'yet' to dig into the Earth, if we will ever do that, to find what may be there... Seriously... Major populous cities LIKE: Los Angeles, Chicago, New York... Some established over 200 years ago. Did anyone dig into the Earth at those locations, before they became big cities? No... Will we ever "Strip Mine" those places now, to see what is there? Probably Not... Maybe there is an even larger dinosaur buried under those cities, that we have yet to discover... Who knows if we will, or when that will be... Maybe it will be found, somewhere else... Even modern creations like the Sphinx in Egypt, and the city of Teotihuacan were mostly buried under sand and dirt until the late 1800s... And they are believed to be less than 10,000 years old... (OK, much less...) So, something from 65 Million Years ago... Yeah, I think it would be very arrogant of us, to think we know everything, at this point... Global Warming? Yeah, Not So Good for the most part... But with the polar caps melting, I do wonder what we may find, buried under the ice...
