Normally, I'd be excited for both films... but maybe it's because of the latter's predecessor's importance to not only the genre but to film itself and the fact that I'm in LOVE with it's universe... I KINDA don't give a shit about Alien: Covenant when I know that a sequel to fucking BLADE RUNNER's coming out.

Blade Runner:2049 seems like the more ambitious movie but I guess that's not a big surprise.

Blade Runner 2049 for me. I'm going to see them both, and I'm sure I'll enjoy them both, but I think after Prometheus this new set of Alien movies has to win me over a bit more. Whereas Denis Villeneuve has been hitting it out of the park so far. After seeing Prisoners and Arrival he's the only director other than Scott himself that I trust with Blade Runner.

Blade Runner 2049. I really hope they dont screw it up somehow. After the hugely disappointing The Force Awakens Im setting my standards low.

I'm anticipating Alien: Covenant a tad more, but I wouldn't say I'm excited about it.

Just saw alien covenant.. it was a good movie but not a great one. So then perhaps there's hope that Blade Runner: 2049 will surpass it.

I think those are good indicators for what we might see in Bladerunner 2049. But I've seen all of Villeneuves movies.
I wasn't THAT blown away by Enemy. It was good, bit I thought it didn't really do enough with the duality of the two main characters.
See Incendies, if you haven't, and don't let anyone ruin it for you beforehand.

Excited for both, but Alien Covenant is my most anticipated film of the year Of the WHOLE year?! Of the whole year. I can't wait for many films this year, but as a huge fan of the Alien franchise and Ridley Scott, I absolutely cannot wait for A:C. Just. Two. More. Days.

I've seen Covenant and it's crap. I expect Blade Runner will be crap too, but I'm hopeful.

OMG
Alien: Covenant getting nothing but awful reviews so far. On IMDB anyway.
Wow. That's disappointing.
On the other hand the critics at Rottentomatoes are more reserved. They're basically saying that the movie is decent but unoriginal.
