"You have strucked Hercules!" Yeah, this ain't exactly a cinematic "masterpiece", but it is sure lots of mindless fun, if one can overcome this kind of entertainment. I have actually never seen the dubbed version, but I know both of my DVD copies include it as a bonus. Still, I find the original Arnold voice-version, hilarious. I would loved to be a fly on the wall, when the big guns and the production company saw the film, for the first time. I wonder how many thought: "WHAT A TALENT this Arnold Strong is. That's our main man, as he's gonna knock the audience over, and one day become the highest paid actor of his generation, within the next 10-15 years!"

It's awful, but fun to have actually seen.
Taina Elg who plays Nemisis was actually once a double Golden Globes winner, one for most promising female newcomer and one for her role in Les Girls 1957.

There's a funny story someone told on another forum where he encountered an actress from this movie at a party-and she got so embarrassed she begged him not to mention it again or tell anyone about it.

Yeah, I guess this was not one of those "classics", people would brag about starring or having any part of, but still it has gone on to gotten itself quite a cult/camp-reputation. Not sure if Arnold and his kids would agree, as I remember Arnie said something about, that whenever his kids did something bad or out of line. He would "punish" them, by making them watch Hercules in New York and Red Sonja, all day long.

I like Red Sonja. Good Morricone score. Yeah it's stupid but Kalidor acts more like Robert E Howard's Conan than in the first one-I like the bridge made of dinosaur bones---although the best woman warrior film I have seen was a couple of years earlier-HUNDRA, and that also had a Morricone score.

I plan on re-watching all the sword and sorecery (Conan films) and Red Sonja, that Arnie did back then, and while I might not be (from earlier visits) as favorable with my ratings to the two latter film, I do remember they both had very impressive soundtracks, which I guess is no surprise, coming from the talents of Basil Poledouris and Ennio Morricone.
I wonder if we might ever get to see another Conan film, with Arnold. It seems like, every now and then, there are some rumours or hints to a possible new film, but the years go on by, and I guess the chances for that to happen is less releastic now, than ever. Would have liked the idea of having The Rock and Arnie team up as son and father, back in the early 00s, when The Rock had his own success with the Scorpion King/The Mummy franchises, but it was probably never meant to be. I do own Hundra, one which come with a bonus disc/feature, with Morricones score. I have not seen it for years, so I might do something about that soon.

7/10. I know, it’s crud, but it gets me laughing.
Just watched the original Schwarzenegger audio version couple months ago. Way funnier than the dubbed cut.

Some of the lines he throws out, along with car noises in the background, just makes this film work so well, as comedy. "Let me be ze the judge of dat!" "I am dired of the zame ol fecez, the zame ol zings!"
