I love Kroger's "Big K" "Black Cherry" Soda... But when I went to the store a few weeks ago, they were sold out... When I went to the store, last week, they were still sold out... I tried a different store today, and they didn't even have an empty space on their shelves or shelf tag for it... I tried a search through Kroger, and Google... and, for some reason, I, couldn't find any hits for it being sold by Kroger. I saw some 3rd party websites, and Ebay sellers selling it though... and some Soda "Can" memorabilia websites talking it, but nothing current. Google, suggested that I try searching for it, being "Discontinued"... and I didn't get any hits when I did that. Google also suggested that I try searching for the Diet version being "Discontinued"... as well. Again, No hits. However, I still have seen the Diet version being sold in the stores. Cant' find any articles on what's going on, and it seems to have disappeared as an actively manufactured product. Is this a pandemic thing, or has it been discontinued, and 'swept under the rug'? Anyone know? I have FOUR cans left in the refrigerator... Should I consider those to be the last ones I'll ever drink again? It sucks that such a great drink has disappeared, while crappy new ones that are not even similar to it are now showing up on shelves.

I have not seen any stock since last year...
I saw "CLOSEOUT" sale tags for both the regular and diet "Black Cherry" flavors, today...
There were some other "CLOSEOUT" sale tags for some of the other "Big K" Sodas flavors too... But, it seems to just be the flavors only available in cans though... I've never seen the "Black Cherry" one offered in 2 liter bottles... There are some other unique flavors just in the cans, and I think they are also the ones with "CLOSEOUT" sale tags...
I hope the 2 liter bottle flavors, which are more common, aren't next...
Sad To Hear...

Doing a GOOGLE search suggests a couple of things...
We may be still dealing with Aluminum Can shortages, and so, that may be why I haven't seen some of these "Can" flavors in months...
But, why put them on CLOSEOUT? These shortages won't last for ever, right? You'll need shelve space for them when they come back, right?
Google shows that a Facebook post was made, indicating that "Big K" is relaunching with it's 30 flavors...
"There's a fresh new look for Big K Soda! Big K is relaunching its affordable brand of 30 flavors …Now with a vibrant new image! Look for it at a store..."
It seems not too long ago, they updated the look of their product, and so, I have my doubts about it...
Sadly, I'm no longer using Facebook to check into when that post was made...
However, if you wanted to get rid of the old product, placing it on CLOSEOUT with a special low price, will help do that...
Well see...
I don't know what to think...
And with my store doing a recent remodel, dumping some products, to apparently to make the isles wider for COVID "Social Distancing" needs... It's really hard to figure out what is going on...
I guess I'll have to ask Customer Service next time I go there, but they may not even know...
But, dumping a huge chunk of your store brands, doesn't sound like a good thing...
Is Kroger about to go bankrupt?
