The Sandlot, but only because I grew up with it. I didn't see Bad News Bears until I was like 17.

The Bad News Bears, if only for Walter Matthau.

As someone who saw both as adults, Bad News Bears was way funnier and easier to get into.

This isn’t really comparable.
It’s like comparing “JoJo Rabbit” to “Saving Private Ryan” because they are both WWII movies. They are baseball films, but very different.
Bad News Bears is about social commentary on racism, stereotypes, outcasts, etc...
Sandlot is a coming of age film.
Both good in very different ways.

Bad News Bears...if only because I like seeing the beer with the pull tabs. Wish they’d bring that back.

Quentin Tarantino included 'Bad News Bears' in his top 20 movies, some years back./

I like them both for different reasons. Apples and oranges.
Bad News Bears
Sandlot
I also wanted to echo that a very funny movie about baseball, since we're on the subject, without doubt, is Major League (just the first one).

No hesitation.
Bad News Bears. Someone once opined it was the first movie they ever saw in which kids actually talked the way they do in real life. Sharply defined characters, extremely well played, and Walter Matthau rivaling Tom Hanks as a boozy manager who realizes (almost too late) the value of what the boys represent beyond the game itself.
The Sandlot is a good movie that starts out well then goes completely off the rails toward the end.

I never loved the narration of adult Scotty Smalls, so I'm giving my vote to Bad News Bears. And for its much memorable ending.
