There should be a third option. They both suck. This from someone who loves Cobra Kai and dude seriously where's my car?. And Star Wars and MCU movies still suck. My opinion still stands.

MCU. I don't like every Marvel movie, but I like way more MCU films than Star Wars films.
Star Wars has been a disaster since the prequels. The only good modern thing Star Wars has is the Mandalorian.

STAR WARS - 5.8/10
M.C.U. - 7.4/10

MCU remains the more diluted franchise, & they've only been around for just over a decade. The Last Jedi was bad. Captain Marvel on the other hand, I never even watched & I'll never have to. MCU has far more needless entries, not a great trait. Needless entries like what? To thoroughly enjoy the Infinity Saga, I've never required the likes of: Incredible Hulk Thor Thor 2 Iron Man 2 Iron Man 3 Homecoming Guardians 2 Dr. Strange Ant-Man 2 Captain Marvel Far From Home I didn't even need Winter Soldier & Black Panther, yet they're great nonetheless.

Star Wars is so much better imo.
Not even close. There’s more to like in one or two of the original six Star Wars movies than the entire MCU combined.

Star Wars. Marvel is more consistent though. But less surprising.

MCU, easily. The Star Wars saga has one very good movie in Episode 4, one great one in Episode 5, two good but flawed entries in Episodes 6 & 3, the rest are all varying degrees of bad. Can't speak of The Mandalorian since I haven't bothered with it. I have yet to see one MCU movie that I haven't enjoyed.

I love the Star Wars franchise (all of it) but the MCU is superior. In general the MCU has better writing, acting, directing, continuity, consistency of quality, complex universe building (and sharing), action, humor, character development, and quantity.

Well, the Quantity Over Quality argument gets muddled when a lot of the SW movies spend their time kicking you in the balls. The visions and plot are also all over the place, whereas the MCU does feel like a cohesive whole.
All that said, while MCU is a better franchise, I'm more drawn to SW and its mythos.

I prefer the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the same reasons already mentioned. I love the attention-to-detail in terms of story continuity and character development. I love how it manages to intermingle and build upon several ongoing plot threads from other movies. The story team at Marvel Studios clearly plan out their overall story in advance, and even when they do backtrack on some things, it feels natural and not too abrupt of a change. It's quite diverse in terms of its genre selection such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier with its homage to spy thrillers, Ant-Man being a nod to heist movies, and the Spider-Man films being high school comedies.
Star Wars started out great. The prequel trilogy was a mixed bag, but it told a unique story and added to the mythos. I feel the sequel trilogy set the film series back. Now, it relies on television series to fill in the gaps between the saga episodes, and they have been really enjoyable to watch.
