Topic on Mike & Mike today (hoping the NBA Finals save a miserable playoffs). Movies you liked, but only because they ended well.
Doesn't have to be a twist movie, but some definitely qualify.
I'm not coming up with anything. Some movies go from awful to just meh at the end (e.g. Harold & Kumar).

The Usual Suspects The Sixth Sense I liked the Sixth Sense, but didn't even care at the end of Usual Suspects.

Batman v Superman. Because it was finally over, I didn't have to kill myself to make the torturous, piss-poor filmmaking continue to mercilessly assault my intelligence and well-being.

First film I thought of was The Usual Suspects. Massively overrated film, fuck me, it took me about 3 or 4 attempts just to get to the end, and only did it just to see what everyone was on about.

No film is saved by a good ending only.
Many films are ruined by endings that create plot holes (many sci fi films have that issue)

Many films are ruined by endings that create plot holes (many sci fi films have that issue) Seeing your avatar makes me think that Gangs of New York has this issue. A great movie (except for the awful Cameron Diaz) with a tremendous pace and setup that completely falls flat in the anti-climatic last 5 minutes. I can watch DDL all day though, that guy is a legend.

Thanks for giving me a reason to vent. But to do so I have to turn your topic around in a 180. Sorry.
Best movie ruined by the ending.
10 Cloverfield Lane
Good filmmaking and acting all thrown away for Sci-Fi cheese.

The ending ruined the entire setup of the movie for me.

Funny, I felt the opposite, the best part of Gangs of New York for me was the riots scene in the final act (as well as the time-passing montage and closing credits). I do agree DDL is legendary in it.

Beyond the cheesiness I still wonder how a lifeform that has traveled light years and has technology beyond our imagine can't find a girl hiding in a shed that has 4 inch spacings between the boards.

Movie saved by the ending:
Star Wars: Episode III β Revenge of the Sith
Was the movie "saved"? No. But when he finally becomes Darth Vader in the last fifteen minutes or so, the movie went from God-awful to OK.
