I can't think of any examples off the top of my head. As many have pointed out, a good movie can be ruined by a lousy ending. But I really can't cite an example of the opposite.

Thanks for giving me a reason to vent. But to do so I have to turn your topic around in a 180. Sorry. Best movie ruined by the ending. 10 Cloverfield Lane Good filmmaking and acting all thrown away for Sci-Fi cheese. A lot of movies suffer from bad endings. For me, Birdman, Frequency, Memento, Lost in Translation are a few.

The Blair Witch Project. It was an interesting concept, terribly done, and was a snooze fest throughout until like literally the last scene.

That movie is so quotable, including virtually all of Keith David's dialog.
