Sometimes I find myself wondering just how different the superhero genre would look today if that movie got made. It’s crazy to think that project was so close to getting filmed, only to get canned at the last minute. The script for that was weird, but maybe it could’ve been good after a rewrite or two?
Also, to get this out of the way, yes, Armie Hammer as Batman would’ve been awkward in hindsight. Speaking of Batman, I’m not sure why the script involved him snapping Maxwell Lord’s neck, when Wonder Woman is the one who does that in the comics.

I predict it would have been an excellent film. Such a shame it never got made.

I would've liked to see if the exact opposite model than MCU took would've worked for a DCU. Start with the team up movie or movies then make the individual movies. It was tried with Fox and X-men but never really got on it's feet well. (Remember after Origins Wolverine, there were going to be individual movies for Magneto, then others)
I think DC would've pulled it off though. Start with a great Team Up movie (me personally would've start off with 2) and then do individual movies afterwards, you would have more of back up for the lesser known JL members for the normies and more reason to give them Individual Movies if the first team up movie and their characters were received well to add on to the safer bets of the Trinity.

I wish it got made. It sounds insane but the right kind of insane.

Miller shared his thoughts in an interview: "Yeah, for me it does because it has happened several times. I’ve been sacked off a film — that happened with Contact and I was very enthusiastic about that. Then, we were very keen to do Justice League back around that time, and there were already photographs and publicity out, and then that fell away. I’m not saying that’s what jinxed it, but I think it’s just better to finish the film and offer it to audiences; to let them take on the story or not."
