I'll say Chiefs 35 - Bucs 31 in another Eagles-Patriots style barn burner. Bucs get more self-inflicted dropped passes, not least from the volume of throws they have to keep up with the Chiefs. Both Brady & Mahomes have MVP calibre games, & it becomes the Chiefs' dynasty runway to come.

Defenses will play harder than people give credit. Super Bowls tend to be tighter on offense. I’m going to say: Tampa Bay 27 Kansas City 24 The game will be tied with about a minute left. Tom Brady will hit Gronk or a RB out of the backfield to get them in FG range and win with no time left.

As I posted on the pick em thread - I’m picking the Chiefs to win, I think their offense is harder to defend than the Bucs, and I don’t trust the Bucs secondary that much. I think both offenses will play well and score, but I think the difference may come down to which defense can get a crucial stop or force a turnover in a key moment - I think the Chiefs secondary is very good and will make a couple of key plays. Final score Chiefs 34 Bucs 27.

Every time Brady is in the superbowl people think and say "if he wins this time, that will end the debate on who the GoaT is."
It won't. People have already made up their minds. After six 4th quarter lead-taking drives (7 if you count 2007, 8 if you count 2018), the debate is already wrapped up for those in favor, and the debate will never be decided for those in denial.

To be honest, when he was on his game, Peyton Manning is the best I've ever seen play the QB position. Sure, he won two SBs (compared to Tom's 6) and his playoff record is questionable but I still say when he had his A-game no one comes close to him. Joe Montana was great too....
But Brady will still be considered the best overall because of the championships he's won. Its hard for me to totally accept this because of his controversial history of bending the rules. Or should we just call it "flat out cheating"?
At any rate.... so many great QBs have played this game. It's hard to narrow it down to just one guy.

The Chiefs opened as -3.5 betting favorites while the Buccaneers were 3.5 underdogs.
After early wagers came in, most operators are holding Kansas City -3 (-120).
If you were to wager on Kansas City -3, you would have to lay 5/6 odds (Bet $120 to win $100) instead of your normal 10/11 juice (Bet $110 to win $100).
The return on Tampa Bay would be even-money (1/1) and a $100 wager would return $100.
The total or over-under on Super Bowl 55 is hovering between 56 and 57 points.

Yet no player or coach has ever come out and said anything about cheating. About the balls being easier to catch due to deflation (scientifically debunked anyway) or about knowing what play the defense was running due to some phantom technology in the early 2000s that allows the diagnosis of sideline defensive signals to be figured out and transmitted to Brady for a last second audible. Not to mention the "proof is in the pudding" of his continued winning year after year.

Game is edging nearer and the season's showpiece is nearly here.
I'm taking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to pull one out against the mighty Kansas City Chiefs. Not sure how they're gonna do it, could be a thriller in Tampa!
May the best team win ...

I laid a sizable bet on the odds of an onside kick attempt. Without double checking i believe it was +175.

Miley Cyrus and Joan Jett singing in the pregame.
Joan is aging well. Not shabby for 62

Chiefs offensive line is cobbled together but with the way they play it doesn't seem to stop them much. They don't depend on the run game and Mahomie just scramles everywhere and finds somebody open.
Tampa Bay likes to blitz but they're going to have to double both Tyreek and Kelce so somethings gonna have to give.
On offense Tampa Bay has to block well and give Brady enough time to do his magic. If he gets pressured he just gets rid of it anywhere with not very good results.

About an hour until kickoff, I’m ready for it!!!! I enjoy the pregame festivities some but after a while I get ready for the game, there’s only so many times you can talk about the same things over and over.
