Why not play Watson if he’s eligible to play and not suspended? Do the Texans want to go winless this season so they can pick #1 in next years draft? That’s all I can think of for why they wouldn’t play Watson.

That’s all I can think of for why they wouldn’t play Watson. I think they want the #1 pick as well as trying their best to avoid the media circus of him playing. If he were to play for this shit team and got hurt? It only kills his value. Its pointless to trade him now too as his value is odd given his accusations. So I think this is kind of their best bet. They hardly think that Watson playing will be the difference in being a playoff team. So, why not tank? Unless Bill O'Brian traded next years pick too that is.

So apparently the Saints will be without homes games for the first four weeks because of the hurricane. Ouch. Rumor has it week 1 vs GB will be in Dallas.
Sad news today for Packers fans and beer lovers, David Bakhtiari on PUP to start the year out for first 6 weeks. He was extremely missed in the NFCCG.
Also, Packers and Rams make an exciting trade. Rams get a 2023 6th round pick and GB gets a 2023 7th round pick and Punter Corey Bojorquez. The Lombardi is coming home with moves like this.

I was surprised at how few name players were cut this year.
Lions cut all their kickers.

These teams all have 14-1 payouts for winning the Super Bowl this year (Caesar's). Best and worst bets?

In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Tyrod Taylor named week 1 starter for the Texans over Watson.

The top running back is Christian McCaffrey. That's a joke. How? McCaffrey’s not injured in a video game. Maybe they should build that in.

Patriots spending spree cracks me up because it's an admission that Belichick has no idea how to build a roster. Brady isn't here to cover up for his failures anymore, so he has to go out and buy a bunch of players other teams were happy to be rid of. Isn't Agholor known for his drops? Though I guess he can't drop the ball if Newton can't even get it to him. Sounds like Mills sucks, but really he's a Patriots DB now, so he'd be getting shitty coaching regardless of his talent level. They overpaid for Judon and threw a bunch of money at a TE without anyone to throw the ball to him. And I'd like to end the bullshit 'Patriots were down because they had more opt outs than anyone' narrative once and for all. Here's the list of guys that opted out: S Patrick Chung (Anyone attribute the Pats success to this guy? Anyone? Not a bad player, not a standout) T Marcus Cannon (He's so important they just traded him) WR Marqise Lee (?) FB Danny Vitale (?) LB Dont'a Hightower (the biggest name on this list, though it needs to be pointed out the Patriots went to the Super Bowl in a season where he only played 5 games) TE Matt LaCosse (LOfuckingL. The team is better off without this scrub) OL Najee Toran (?) RB Brandon Bolden (I like Bolden. He's a versatile player who probably makes his biggest impact on special teams. But is he a key cog?! Have you as a football fan ever watched a Pats game and thought, "It's a good thing they have Bolden.") So enough about the opt outs, Belichick just built a shitty roster and Brady was tired of being underpaid to carry this dumb shit of a head coach to the playoffs every year. Brady skipped town, the team fell apart (eight guys flat out quit before the season even started, that should tell you something) and the Patriots missed the playoffs for the first time since the last time Brady wasn't their starter. Now it's desperation time as notoriously stingy Belichick is suddenly throwing money at anyone and everyone to try to save face. He's still the shitty head coach he always was, so I fully expect another sub-.500 season up here. Not sold on sub .500
