Yeah, it's small but a good place for very cheap prices and knockoffs, as well as a few German items.

This one sent me to confer with the Google Gods. The nearest one to me is in Fresno, CA ... about 160 miles away. My guess us that they'll be in this area, eventually. When that happens, I'll check them out. They're a German based company, and I'm curious.
A few years ago, "Fresh and Easy," a British based company, owned by Tesco, opened near me. I liked it. The prices were good, and they offered a nice variety of international products. The store was "no frills," with only self check-out, and minimum decor. That was fine with me.
The one near me was pretty successful. However, the overall chain didn't survive.
I'll watch for Aldi, and give it a try.

I went to one once to see what they had, and I was disappointed in their offerings... Plenty of better stores nearby...
But, I did buy a few things there anyway, since I don't like going into stores and not buying anything...
The worst thing about it was, they didn't give me any bags for the items I bought! Total BS! Thankfully, I had a cart (which I had to rent for a quarter...). in which I could take them to my car... But when I got home, I had to bag them up, to take them in the house...
Renting Shopping Carts... Poor Selection Of Items... And No Bags to carry my groceries with?
What the hell?
I won't be going back anytime soon, if ever.

You stick a quarter in, and when you return it, you push the carts together to get your quarter back. Also, you can pay someone a quarter as they return theirs, and often someone will offer the same when you're done with yours. People sometimes just give you a cart with the quarter, so you end up making money if you don't pay it forward. I do bring a bag or two, or use one of their boxes. I usually keep a bag in my trunk to fill from the cart.

And No Bags to carry my groceries with? That's one of the ways they keep their prices down. Bags cost money. I keep store bags to re-use as trash bags for small trash cans I just bring the ones I haven't used for trash yet when I shop at Aldi.

We have a plastic bag ban here, and the major stores like H-E-B don't offer you paper ("Do you need a bag?" means "We will sell you one"), so we are used to bringing our own.

But oddly, fast food places were still allowed to use them

They're opening one about a half mile from my house any day now. The convenience factor alone will make me shop there.

Never been in one still, there's never been one close enough to where I live to make it a shopping spot.

I have one about 20 minutes from my house so I shop there off and on. Can't beat their prices. I keep 3 or 4 of these under my truck seat to load the food into them.
