Scarlet Witch’s costume was drenched of all colour. The MCU should stop doing this. Bring back the vibrant colours already.

She's probably my favorite female MCU character after Hela, and I love her precisely for the reasons you mentioned. When you look at some of the most popular male characters (Tony Stark, Loki, Thor, Thanos, Starlord, etc.) a lot of them are very imbalanced individuals. Majority of the female characters on the other hand are a lot more pristine and well balanced. Wanda having a lot of issues and baggage is what made her interesting. As for her love story with Vision, heck, have you seen what the dating scene looks like nowadays? I've seen people get married in as little as 3 months of knowing each other. I don't think the romance with Vision was forced, just that majority of it happened behind the scenes because they didn't get their show till now, and now we do finally see it developed. I would’ve been more ok with Wanda if the writers didn’t expect us to sympathize with her so much. That’s why I hope she’s a villain in the next Doctor Strange movie. There are things superhero movies need to gloss over if they want to make their movies work. Most of the time it's the realistic consequences of their actions. If they focused on giving Wanda realistic consequences then it would only be fair to make sure the rest of the heroes would face similar consequences... at which point the entire MCU would unravel. Tony Stark would have been put behind bars for being a vigilante. Thor would be hunted down by every government for being a literal (illegal) alien. The US government would claim Captain America as government property and would never allow him out of their sight. Warmachine would never have been allowed to function with a private outfit like the Avengers without consequences to his military standing. Hulk would be locked up in a lab somewhere never to be seen again. Black Widow would be targeted by numerous assassins the world over once she revealed her identity. Etc.

I loved Wanda's costume but I do agree that it tended to look a bit too maroon/violet under certain lightning conditions. A few bright red sections in her costume would have done wonders. Then again, this is a problem I have with most MCU costumes, where the colors tend to be more muted. I guess it's their attempt to make them look more practical and realistic.

It’s probably a legacy of the success of Singer’s X-films. But I’d suggest that the intro to Snyder’s Watchmen is the best depiction of superhero costuming.
