The picks for Buffalo are fine. I can see them trading out of the first and picking up a RB in the 2nd and grabbing extra picks. Really, the team only needs depth at some positions, both sides of the line, defense secondary. A running back would be nice but there isn’t a great one out there. Harris and Etienne are good but not a knockout. And Clemson and Alabama players haven’t excelled up here. Reggie Ragland, Cyrus Koo Koo Ka Joob, Marcell Darius from Alabama, CJ Spiller, Sammy Watkins from Clemson. Ish I actually seen a mock with the Bills taking a receiver in the 2nd. FFS why? Buffalo imo could use some pass rush but this class is rather lacking. Given they don't need much and RB could be viewed as a need it matched up with Harris as BPA imo. So it was an easy choice for me. In the 2nd Basham has gotten some late 1st talk but I think that would be a big reach as most edge rushers will likely get over drafted due to the value of the position so I had Buffalo wait, Basham happened to still be there in the 2nd. What WR was it? Maybe the mocker was just taking advantage of the class? They still have Beasley right? I’m hoping AJ Esperenza (sp?) can step up this year. Bills took him in the 2nd last year and he didn’t play much. A lot of experts had him in the 1st last year. He looks small to be an edge rusher. Yeah Cole Beasley is still here. They let John Brown go but signed Emmanuel Sanders from SF. With Beasley, Diggs, Sanders and Gabriel Davis, a WR isn’t a need.

Rumor has it via The Ringers random draft podcast that the SF pick is up in the air. Kyle Shanahan wants Jones but front office wants Lance.
Lance has always been the guy that makes sense here but too many people say it's Jones.

Just because Beasley is 30 and Sanders is 34. Can’t wait to see when they have the Bills taking a QB.

So Chris Simms set Twitter on fire today with possibly the worst mock I have seen this year. Justin Fields falling to #32 and Tampa Bay.
1) No way he gets passed Washington.
2) Why would TB take a QB when they're all in on pleasing Brady?
Simms then started to double down on his mock stating his "success" on evaluating QBs like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
I personally have never followed his stuff cuz he always came off like an idiot who got his job because of who his dad was. This mock basically cements my belief. He is either WAY off in terms of the mock or did it simply for the click bait/engagement in the likes of Skip Bayless which is imo never the career path one should want to take.

Which players from the draft will have the highest selling merch? Trey Lance? Isn't it usually the guys with the highest mythological ceilings like Mitch Trubisky? I think the 49ers are going Mac Jones, because Shanahan would rather wake up Friday morning to gameplan for him than a raw Trey Lance yes? Niner fans won't enjoy that until they win their 10th game. Broncos would probably grab Lance after that, not least they'd like to try a Mahomes-lite to battle Mahomes twice a year? I'm seeing Jimmy G, Patriots trending right now. Probably because they've given up hoping for one of the QB's to drop far enough. 3rd rounder & cash or something seems to be the target - which is fine I guess. Not sure how a team of Jimmy G & Cam operates though. I've not really looked at many mocks in a few weeks - the closer we get to the draft, the less reliable those actually seem to pan out, + why waste the energy when all will be revealed within the week. I like a mock draft right after the Super Bowl, right after free agency, & again once playoff picture gets filled in - to see who might fit where down the road.

So apparently the Packers are connected to WR in R1 in terms of Rashod Bateman and Elijah Moore. The #21 pick with the Colts seems like the target.

I thought the Casserly "Fields to Pittsburgh at 24" mock was bad. I have, however, heard rumors that the Bucs could take somebody like Davis Mills at 32. Whomever they get, their usage wouldn't be all that great in 2021, unless it was a top flight running back.

If the Steelers hadn't resigned JuJu, I'd have wanted us to be in on him, even though it still wouldn't have been a crucial need.

On the other hand there are rumors that they trade for Jimmy. And there is the story about trading up for a QB...but Rodgers and Newton on the same bench...

Maybe he learned he's going to get the full time Jeopardy! job...

37 mill. dollar in dead cap space is a strong argument...on the other hand: if he really wants to leave...and is his absolutely entitled too...since they drafted Love.

[/a][/quote] Rightly so...but he was fair enough to seal the deal before the draft, to be crystal clear on this matter. That's far more then the Packers did: Love instead of a wide receiver, the Field Goal, the broken word to trade him...they screwed him over and over again.
